LT2060
The RACO LT2060 is a ball screw driven linear actuator constructed into an aluminum housing. Its slide carriage is capable of handling loads up to 4500 pounds maximum. A wide range of drive accessories and environmental configurations are available.
For high dynamic applications or very long stroke requirements RACO is offering the LT2060 linear drive system. The LT2060 is designed to combine position accuracy and high load performance. An extremely ridged aluminum extrusion that provides as well the guide for the sliding carriage, the spindle system is incorporated. Based on the application either an ACME or ball screws can be selected. The spindle support bearing assembly is equipped with an adjustable axial pretension mechanism, which provides for a smooth rotational operation of the spindle even well above the critical bending speed and the elongation of the spindle due to temperature.
In a horizontal application of stroke length up to 230 inches the patented screw guide system guaranties an optimal alignment of the spindle. The ACME or ball nut is fixed mounted in axial direction inside the carriage system and can float vertically to deflect any side loading. Two screw guides, one on each side of the carriage, attaches itself to the carriage and is parked midway between the bearing block and the carriage to support the screw and prevent wiping. The number of synchronous moving carriages can be freely selected. As well a left / right hand spindle system can be implemented to realize a synchronous movement of the carriages in opposite directions.
Typical applications include the accurate positioning of machine work pieces, tools or measurement systems or the movement and positioning of heavy loads. Multi axis systems for material handling and automation systems can be designed with the LT2060 linear drive or in conjunction with the LM3 and LM4 belt driven actuators.
